Last October, I was invited to the 8th Science Projects Workshop in the Future Classroom Lab (Brussels, Belgium):
It was a great opportunity and I didn't let it pass. I met a lot of people, but It should be nout that the first day I was talking with Mr José Luis Rodríguez Blancas, a passionate teacher who want to spread how can we teach with fractal. When he started to talk me about the Sierpinski carpet project, I was fascinated and I decided take part on it. It's a nonprofit, collective and joint activity among childre, from 3 to 99 years old, around the world. They want to buil a giant geometric fractal, known as Sierpinski Carpet, with coloured squared stickers. The goal of the project is a 43,74 m Sierpinski carpet. It will be made in Almeria in may 2016. IES Profesor Tierno Galván has contributed with a fourth iteration of the fractal, wich is made with 4096 stickers (a 1'62 m sqare). It has been made by the students of 2º ESO:
And finally, we have decorated the classroom with our Sierpinski carpet:
